Pope Dickson & Son continues to operate from it’s original facility in Jonesboro, through the years, the building has been expanded to accommodate the needs of the business, and the building itself has an interesting history.

It seems the original  house has a sense of service.

Dating back to Civil War times, the six room house was used as the doctor’s quarters for the hospital that was located on what is now North McDonough Street. To maintain it’s sense of historic continuity, the house is a repository for a special collection of Civil War antiques, Antique Furniture and

Gone With The Wind memorabilia.
